Regarding "the 'Letter'" which "of all the many things [he has] done for [him]," he does not like and asks that he not distribute it to anyone; confessing that he owes to Lawrence's influence his reluctance to see anything he has written be printed; expressing anxiety over anyone mentioned in "the 'Letter'" (e.g. the Shaws, Scholderer, Lawrence) getting their hands on a copy and indicating that the lot must go "to the fireplace."
